The context
Industrial buyers do their homework quietly. Before a procurement manager ever fills in a contact form, they've compared suppliers, browsed product ranges, and formed an opinion about who looks like a serious operation. For a weighing-solutions company, the website is that first impression.
Weigh-Tech Solutions needed a public site that matched the quality of their equipment and service: credible at first glance, easy to navigate for people who know exactly what spec they're looking for, and structured so that every browsing path ends somewhere a conversation can start.
The approach
I designed and built the site around three jobs, in order:
- Look credible — a brand-first visual system, not a template
- Be browsable — a product catalogue organized the way customers shop
- Convert — lead-generation contact flows placed where decisions happen
The brand system came first: typography, colour, and photography treatments that make an industrial company feel established rather than generic. The catalogue's information architecture groups products the way buyers think about them, so finding the right scale or system takes seconds. And rather than one lonely contact page, enquiry paths appear throughout the browsing experience — each product a customer views is one step away from asking about it.
Build highlights
Brand-first design system
A visual identity built for credibility in an industrial market — consistent type, colour, and product presentation across every page.
Product catalogue IA
Products organized by how customers shop, keeping the path from “landed on the site” to “found the right product” short.
Built for speed and search
Statically rendered Next.js pages with semantic, SEO-ready markup — quick on first load and easy for search engines to understand.
Easy content updates
Content structured so the catalogue and pages can evolve without a rebuild-everything project each time the product line changes.
The outcome
The site is live at weightechsolutions.ca and serves as the company's primary public presence and lead-generation channel — the place their equipment, services, and credibility are on display before the first phone call ever happens.
